    I got a fatal error when I tried to customize a theme using live preview

    this is the error

    I’m using the latest version of the plug in.
    I have several themes but I got the same error

    @masaosada Can I please ask what theme you are currently using and trying to edit?

    @adamdunnage I’m using Swell which is Japanese theme.

    I change the theme to WordPress default one, it’s the same

    @adamdunnage I’ll give you some more information.

    I have 3 blogs, and installed Site Kit and Simple WordPress Membership to the 3 blogs. 2 of them don’t get the error, means I can use live customizer. but somehow I can’t use live customizer on the blog.

    I deactivated all the plugins but Site Kit and Simple WordPress Membership, I still got the error message.

    but once I deactivate one of these, there’s no error appeared.

    @masaosada Are the two sites where Site Kit is working using the same theme or are they using a different theme?

    Could I also ask if you have also reached out to the Simple WordPress Membership support forum as well to see if there is anything that can be done on their side to address this?

    I will continue to test this on my side but so far am unable to recreate this.

    @adamdunnage One of the site is the same theme.

    I asked the same error to the Simple WordPress Membership support then they said “This is probably due to the conflict with Google Site kit plugin.”

    @masaosada Thank you for all the information on this. I have been able to reproduce this on a test website myself so I have opened a new GitHub issue for this for the team to investigate further.
