Hi @newequilibre,
I can understand how frustrating it can be for a site to show a fatal error after an update.
Just to clarify, WooCommerce by itself works well with WordPress version 6.4.1. In this case, it is likely that there’s a plugin or theme on your site that isn’t quite compatible with this new WordPress version and is causing a conflict with WooCommerce when it is enabled.
In order to locate what’s actually causing the fatal error, I will recommend that you do a conflict test as explained here – https://woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/
I recommend letting us know how the conflict test goes here on our forum – https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/woocommerce/#new-topic-0.
Oh my god. As a store owner myself I collect reviews on TrustPilot and damn it’s annoying when people give 1 star reviews like this when the problem isn’t caused by the product or service that’s being reviewed.
Hi @jussipiv,
WooCommerce is a platform that has numerous add-ons and themes developed by third parties and also by the Woo team.
While these third-party extensions enhance functionality, they may not always be immediately compatible with the latest WooCommerce Core updates. We recommend testing the checkout flow on a staging environment after updating both the core and third-party plugins to ensure a seamless experience for your customers.
It’s crucial to note that third-party developers have their release schedules, and they might not synchronize updates with every WooCommerce core update. This can lead to compatibility issues. To mitigate this, we suggest reaching out to the developers of the specific plugins and themes you use, inquiring about their updates and if their plugin is compatible with the latest WooCommerce Core update, and staying informed about any potential conflicts.
Did you try conflict testing as shared on the documentation: https://woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/?
WooCommerce Core and its updates are made compatible with every WordPress update, so it’s highly recommended to test the compatibility with third-party plugins and check if they are causing the issue.
Please let us know if you are still facing any issues with WooCommerce Core and WordPress 6.4.1 or any other WordPress version. If you do, please test with all the plugins disabled with only WooCommerce and WordPress default theme active. Let us know how it goes!
