    Hi,

    I’ve just tried to install Tablepress on my website (www.tunbridgewellsvts.org) but when I tried to activate I got this:

    Warning: require_once(/var/sites/t/tunbridgewellsvts.org/public_html/wp-content/plugins/tablepress/controllers/controller-frontend.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/sites/t/tunbridgewellsvts.org/public_html/wp-content/plugins/tablepress/classes/class-tablepress.php on line 135

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/var/sites/t/tunbridgewellsvts.org/public_html/wp-content/plugins/tablepress/controllers/controller-frontend.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /var/sites/t/tunbridgewellsvts.org/public_html/wp-content/plugins/tablepress/classes/class-tablepress.php on line 135

    Now I can’t access my site at all… I am not very experienced with WordPress so if you have a fix, please could you keep the language really simple??!!

    Thank you, I look forward to hearing from you,

    Ally

    Hi,

    thanks for your post and sorry for the trouble!

    These error messages indicate that something went wrong during the installation of the plugin. There are plugin files missing on the server for some reason.

    To fix this, please log in to your server via FTP and go to the “wp-content/plugins/” folder, and delete the “tablepress” folder. That will automatically deactivate TablePress, so that you can access your WordPress admin area again.
    Then, please try re-installing TablePress from a fresh download, and make sure that all files get copied to the server correctly. Alternatively, you could try the installation via the admin area, which is usually less error-prone.

    If that doesn’t help, please let me know, so that I can investigate this directly on your server.

    Regards,
    Tobias
