    Hi there,
Wondering if you could help. After upgrading to the latest version of the plugin, the homepage of my site gives a fatal error:

Default value for parameters with a class type hint can only be NULL in /…/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/relevanssi/lib/common.php on line 540

Any other page of the website works and changing the homepage to another page does not solve the issue. Any idea what could cause this? I have tried to downgrade to an earlier version of the plugin but the issue is still there. The site only works if I deactivate Relevanssi.
    Thanks in advance.

That sounds like you’re on PHP version that’s lower than 7. Relevanssi requires PHP 7, and has required it for a while now. The only solution is to upgrade your PHP version, but if you’re on something less than 7, you’re risking your site safety and really should update with a high priority in any case.

Thanks for your answer Mikko. The php version I’m using is 7.2. I finally solved the issue by updating Apache to version 2.4
