Fatal Error: Can’t activate plugin | ww.wp.xz.cn

I just received this error when trying to activate the plugin:

Fatal error: Namespace declaration statement has to be the very first statement or after any declare call in the script in ../wp-content/plugins/seriously-simple-podcasting/vendor/composer/autoload_static.php on line 5

I tried deactivating all my other plugins and still no luck. Even tried changing themes without success. Any thoughts on what might be going on?

Hi @nbrockman what version of WordPress and PHP are you running on your site?

WordPress 5.2.3
PHP 7.2.22 cgi-fcgi

I’ll see if I can get my host to upgrade to PHP 7.3

I ended up deleting the plugin and reinstalled. That fixed it. Everything is good again in the Seriously Simple Podcasting world. THANKS!
