  • Hello,

    Sure I’ll try to help,

First, make sure these files exists at the location called by wp and .htaccess file.

Second, this kind of error often happen when VM or your shared host space does not direct to the right folder, or WP doesn’t know it.

Knowing your domain name, try to call something like,

    http://www.mysitename.com/wp-config.php

If all ok, you should see a 403 forbidden error.

If nothing, or your browser just lags:

    – dns is not well configured for your given directory

It could also be you setup your site only for the blog url, aka,
    mysitename.com/blog

Then, you have to rework a few things on server side and apache (or nginx)

Thank you for this answer Digico Paris !

Could you perhaps re-explain your instructions, this time in French ? I believe we are both French people. I’m very bad at coding and didn’t understand what VM or other things meant.

    Thanks in advance! 🙂

You’re right but this an english forum, so no way for me to talk in french here 🙂

I could tell you other blogs for that in french if you want,

But sorry not here, every contributor must abide to a code and it’s to never talk in local langage here, otherwise this forum will look like babel tower.

    Have fun with WP,
