Hello @gregdo
Thank you for reaching out to us, we really appreciate it.
This issue is a known issue that we are preparing a hotfix for, that should be made available ASAP. We are pending approval for this as we speak.
In one instance I was able to reproduce it and could get it resolved when I deactivated vaulting and card processing, but I was told this does not work for many people that encounter the issue.
I will link this ticket to the bug so that you will be updated once the hotfix is released.
Kind regards,
Joost

ok, thank you. I’ve deactivated vaulting and card processing and it doesn’t work.
Hello @gregdo
ok, so that doesn’t work for all it seems. We are pushing to get the hotfix (1.6.1) out; hoping today or Monday, but we can’t confirm anything at this moment.
Kind regards,
Joost
Hi
Apologies for the trouble.
The issue has been resolved for our next update which will be released early next week.
https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-paypal-payments/issues/310
A preview version for the upcoming update 1.6.1 can be downloaded from our GitHub repository here: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-paypal-payments/releases (direct download)
If you install this version the error should be gone and you can downgrade back to 1.6.0. Afterward downgrading, it should continue to work. But I suggest adjusting your settings to your desire (e.g. disabling vaulting) before downgrading back to 1.6.0.
Kind regards,
Niklas
Hello
Good news, the hotfix that should resolve the error “get_3ds_contingency()” was released yesterday. Please update the plugin to version 1.6.1 and see if now works properly.
Kind regards,
Joost
