    Hello @ronakganatra

Hope you are doing well today.

This is a warning and not a fatal error; it typically indicates that OPcache Save Comments is not enabled on your hosting.

Since this setting is necessary for Defender to function correctly, you need to either contact your hosting provider or add the following code to your user.ini file to enable it.

Please refer to this document to learn more:
    https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/defender/#quick-setup

    https://docs.moodle.org/500/en/OPcache

    Kind Regards
    Amin

    Thanks @wpmudev-support2 ,

We have enabled the save comments, will check. Hence it generated fatal error not only warning ( see screenshot : https://prnt.sc/OovGeqT5O79J)

    Hi @ronakganatra,

I hope the hosting support will be able to help you with this, however, can you please also share the Fatal error that you observed so that we can take another look at this issue?

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

    Best Regards,

    Hello @ronakganatra

    Hope you’re doing well!

I reviewed the fatal error and the warning, as you mentioned in the screenshot as well as the topic description, we’ve had some past reports about the issue, and as mentioned by Amin here https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/fatal-error-logged-from-the-defender-security-plugin/#post-18472566 once opcache.save_comments is enabled on your server, the Error/warning should no longer be logged.

We have enabled the save comments, will check

Can you please confirm if you have already enabled opcache.save_comments on the server, and you are still facing the same issue? If so, could you please try reinstalling the plugin and check if that helps?

Please let us know how it goes.

    Kind Regards,
    Saurabh

Yes we have already enabled the opcache.save_comments and still it logged ther error ( Hence the frequency is decreased )

    Hello @ronakganatra

Would you mind temporarily disabling all sorts of cache (cache plugin, hosting cache if it exists) and then retrying and seeing how it goes?

If the issue persists, please send us an email for further investigation. Please provide us with the recent error logs file.
