    Hi!

I just finished building my clients site at http://new.curlytailpictures.com and was trying to move it to http://curlytailpictures.com (where her old wordpress site lives).

I went into the ftp manager and moved all the wp folders from her old site (wp-admin, wp-content, wp-includes)from the root folder into a folder I named “old”. I then copied all the wp folders from the new site into the root folder.

So, in essence, nothing from the new folder has been moved, just copied.

I can see the front end of the new site. But when I try to go the login page I get:

Warning: require(/home/content/c/u/r/curlytailpictu/html/wp-includes/classes.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/c/u/r/curlytailpictu/html/wp-settings.php on line 68

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/content/c/u/r/curlytailpictu/html/wp-includes/classes.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php’) in /home/content/c/u/r/curlytailpictu/html/wp-settings.php on line 68

I’m hoping there’s a file I can reupload to fix this.

Thanks so much, I’m in a bit over my head.
    Krisztina.

  • Try re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

Thanks! That won’t erase all the customization I’ve done?

Is there a way to access the settings page from the backend? I changed the address to point to where I wanted the new site to go and I think that’s why it’s not loading at the old site anymore. Though what I really want is the new site to load on the new address.

Not unless you edited those files. Which you shouldn’t. All your edits should be in wp-content 🙂
