I’ve been using Google Calendar Events and just love it. When I switched hosting to Godaddy, the plugin started causing a fatal error message which not only causes the the calendar feed not to display it also suppresses all of the widgets on the page. Godaddy has not been able to help me. I’m not a programmer and do the best I can with my limited knowledge and when I do research, most of the information is way over my level.

I would really prefer not to switch to a different plug in so is there any guidance, help, wisdom that you can share?

    Here’s the message,

Fatal error: GCE_Display::get_event_days(): The script tried to execute a method or access a property of an incomplete object. Please ensure that the class definition "GCE_Event" of the object you are trying to operate on was loaded _before_ unserialize() gets called or provide a __autoload() function to load the class definition in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas03_data01/69/2341169/html/wp-content/plugins/google-calendar-events/includes/class-gce-display.php on line 68

    Hi

unfortunately, this has been ongoing since a while with Godaddy 🙁 and I’m afraid is a known problem (there’s a very long thread discussing it https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/fatal-error-on-homepage-1?replies=84 )

so, regrettably at the moment, aside the advices found in that thread, I don’t have a solution for you

the plugin is being rewritten and hopefully that might address that error message – thanks for your patience

I’m marking the thread as solved because me and the other plugin maintainers are aware of the issue, but I will still receive updates if you respond
