fatal error message when trying to activate plugin | ww.wp.xz.cn

I am getting this message when I try to activate the stripe payment plug-in
“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error”. No other details are shown.
I’ve tried installing the plugin directly from wordpress search engine, and downloading the pluging from the developer website. In both cases the same result.
My environment is running PHP 5.5.38.
I am using Extra theme from Elegant themes.

How can I get details on what is launching the error?

My environment is running PHP 5.5.38.

Your php version is no longer supported. You need to update it to PHP 7.3.xx or higher. Please check the following link to learn more.
