I activated a new theme and somehow caused a fatal error.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function add_image_size() in /data/19/1/79/84/1894573/user/2060934/htdocs/yenterco/wp-content/themes/parabola/includes/theme-loop.php on line 264

The site is down and I need some help.

  • FTP into your site (or whatever file management application your host provides) & rename the wp-content/themes/parabola folder to wp-content/themes/parabola-old. This should automatically activate the default theme and bring your site back up.

    Esmi,
I managed to change the file name to parabola-old, and the fatal error has disappeared. Sadly I now just have a blank page. Thoughts?

Re-upload a fresh, unpacked, copy of the Twenty Fourteen folder to wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

Well I can’t seem to figure the folder upload procedure out but I found a workaround. Removing the fatal error allowed me to again access the site log in page and I was able to apply the default theme for now. The site is back up and running. Thanks very much!!!

Glad to hear that you have access to your site again. 🙂
