Fatal error on activation

    I’m getting the following error when I try to activate the plugin:

    Fatal error: Call to a member function getPluginDisplayName() on a non-object in …../wp-content/plugins/wp-mail-logging/WPML_Init.php on line 78

    PHP version is 5.4.45

    Sorry for the late response. I had to figure out how to install legacy php versions first.
    I tested with WordPress 4.6.1 | PHP 5.4.45 | Apache/2.4.7 (Ubuntu) | MySQL 5.5.53`
    No errors..
    Please try to install the plugin again. Make sure to not select cleanup in the settings before (this is not relevant for the problem).

    I deleted the plugin and reinstalled – same error:

    Fatal error: Call to a member function getPluginDisplayName() on a non-object in …/wp-content/plugins/wp-mail-logging/WPML_Init.php on line 78
