Fatal error on PHP 5.4

    Plugin failed to be activated in my site:

    Fatal error: Call-time pass-by-reference has been removed; If you would like to pass argument by reference, modify the declaration of _e(). in /home/username/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/google-adsense-dashboard/google_adsense_dashboard.php on line 235

    I’m using WP 4.1, PHP 5.4, MySQL 5.6.
    Any ideas?
