Fatal error on update

On updating, I got the “white screen of death”. So I turned it off in the file manager, and then back on and tried to activate it. It could not be activated because it caused a fatal error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘, expecting ‘)’ in /home/kthulah/public_html/zindoki.com/wp-content/plugins/advanced-post-list/admin/class-apl-notices.php on line 278

I don’t think I’m the only one.
