Tried to update the theme and got the error below. Need help resolving.

Thanks for reporting the problem.
The problem seems to be specific to your website. I can’t reproduce it on my test sites with the latest version of WP and the theme.
I would recommend to delete the theme and re-install it completely.

Thanks Nicolas.

I activated a default theme; deleted Customizr; installed fresh version of Customizr; reactivated my Custimzr-child theme. All seems to work.

Just one of those things that go bump in the night 🙂
