  • Hi @irina306 ,

Thanks for reaching out — I’m sorry to hear you’re running into this issue. The fatal error indicate the core Autoloader.php file is missing, therefore it prevents the plugin from being activated or deleted normally.

In this case, the best way forward is to access your hosting File Manager (or use FTP) and navigate to /wp-content/plugins/. From there, delete the entire woocommerce/ folder. Once that’s done, you can reinstall the plugin from the WordPress plugin repository.

I also noticed your site appears to be a staging environment — was it created through your hosting provider or using a plugin? Knowing that might help us better understand any additional factors at play.

It would also be super helpful if you could share your System Status Report. To grab that:

    1. Head to WooCommerce > Status in your dashboard.
    2. Click Get system report and then Copy for support.

If there are any fatal error logs showing up, please send those over too. You can find them under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

Once you’ve gathered that info, feel free to paste it into a code block here or upload it to pastebin.com and send us the link. That’ll help us dig deeper and get you a clearer answer.

    Looking forward to your reply!

Hello Jonayed, thank you so much of your quick answer!

You are right, I entered the wocommerce/ folder and noticed that many files are missing. I did what you said and reinstall wocommerce. But after I saw that my theme was totally mess, do I need to save theme before reinstalling wocommerce? Do I need to save database?

I have created the stage site myself in order to try things to resolve.

In original site https://www.georgianarts.com/ in dashboard is impossible to see Wocommerce part.

    Hi @irina306 ,

Thanks for following up—and I totally get how frustrating it must’ve been to see your theme layout thrown off like that.

I did what you said and reinstall wocommerce. But after I saw that my theme was totally mess, do I need to save theme before reinstalling wocommerce? Do I need to save database?

Reinstalling WooCommerce shouldn’t normally affect your theme or database, but if there were missing files or if something went sideways during the reinstall, it might’ve caused some unexpected issues.

For future changes like this, it’s always a good idea to back up your site—including your theme files and database—before making big updates or reinstalling plugins. That way, you’ll have a full copy to fall back on just in case anything goes off track.

In the meantime, could you share a bit more about what’s not working or looking right on your site now? I’d love to take a closer look and help get things back to normal for you.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
