Fatal error upon activation.

    Basically and straight to the point. I installed Landing Pages via the plugin page within the WordPress admin panel. Upon clicking activate. I received “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.”. So I deleted it and tried again within the plugin page just in case something went wrong the first time. Same thing. So I done a manual install via FTP and I still get the error. I had a quick Google search and a lot of what I found was people were having trouble as they weren’t using PHP5. I’m using PHP5 and couldn’t really find anymore information on fixing it. I have disabled other plugins and my theme and still no luck.

    What fatal error message do you see?

    What version of PHP/MySQL are you using?

    We are unable to reproduce such results

    It just says fatal error. I clicked on the error log in my Cpanel and nothing in there.
    I’m using PHP Version 5.3.27

    Sounds like a plugin/theme conflict.

    To test for a theme conflict:

    1. Activate default Twenty Ten, Eleven, Twelve, or Thirteen theme
    2. Check to see if the issue still occurs
    3. If the issue does not occur after having activated the default “Twenty” theme, your theme is causing a conflict with landing pages.

    To test for a plugin conflict:

    1. Deactivate ALL plugins
    2. Activate Landing Pages
    3. Check to see if the issue occurs

    If the issue does not occur, one (or more) of your plugins is causing a conflict with Landing Pages.

    To determine which plugin(s) is causing the conflict, follow these steps:

    1. Activate each plugin one by one
    2. Check to see if the issue occurs after each plugin is activated

    I tried all that but even with every plugin off and using the default theme it still gave me the “Fatal Error”.

    But it turns out I don’t need to use the plugin after all. Thank you so much for your help though!

    Are you uploading the plugin via FTP or installing from the repo?

    Also what version of PHP 5? You need to be on 5.3 +
