Fatal Error when activated ?

    Hello Wordfence,
    I’ve used Wordfence for many years. Today I see an error message when trying to activate it. Could you suggest a reason and a fix?

    I had a very similar issue and had to go through ftp to disable wordfence. I’m not sure what to do.

    Hi @leofitz7!
    Which version of Wordfence do you currently have installed?

    One thing you can try is to delete the whole “wordfence” folder located in wp-content/plugins and then reinstall Wordfence from the WordPress “Plugins” page. This would sort out any versioning issues you may have in case you’ve had the plugin deactivated for a while.

    If that doesn’t help, please let me know the Wordfence version. Thanks!
