Fatal error when activating

    Site whitescreened after updating the plugin. Checked the logs and seen errors similar to this:

    [Mon Sep 08 18:39:21 2014] [warn] [client 104.194.6.141] mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Fatal error:  require_once(): Failed opening required '/home/will/public_html/wp-content/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/inc/functions.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear:/usr/share/php') in /home/will/public_html/wp-content/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/googleanalytics.php on line 52

    I don’t have the ‘/inc/’ folder inside the plugin’s directory.

    I tried downloading the latest version from the repo and uploading manually, still same error.

    UPDATE: Issue resolved, seemed to be a caching related issue where memcache server wasn’t properly cleared after updating WP core to 4.0 resulting in it using a mix of 3.9 core files alongside the new 4.0 ones.
