    Dear Team,

I have a Fatal Error when I try to activate the pluggin, saying: “Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class ReallySimpleCaptcha in /homepages/11/d284866165/htdocs/www/web/wp-content/plugins/really-simple-captcha/really-simple-captcha.php on line 30”

Do you have any idea of what can be the problem ?

    Thanks

    JL

Try deactivating all other plugins and switching to the default theme before activating Really Simple CAPTCHA. One of them is wrongly declaring ReallySimpleCaptcha class.

    Dear Takayuki,

Thank you very much for your quick reply; I switch back to my default theme and it solves the issue.
Thank you again very much for yout help and your great job.

Good morning. I’m having this same issue when I try to install the ReallySimpleCaptcha plugin to run in conjunction with the Contact 7 plugin.

When you advise to turn off all plugins and switch to default theme for the install, do you then turn everything back on after installing ReallySimpleCaptcha? My site is running an ecommerce wordpress theme that uses woo commerce for the shopping cart, so I have quite a few plugins and in-depth theme to “turn off/on”.

I’m running the most recent versions of WordPress and Contact 7.

Thanks in advance for the help.

    Hi Mcollie64,

Actually, here is what I did exactly:
    – Install the ReallySimpleCaptcha plugin
    – Turn all plugins off
    – Switch back to my default theme
    – Activate the ReallySimpleCaptcha plugin
    – Switch to my correct theme
    – Turn all plugins on

    My advice:
    – Turn all plugins off and try to activate the ReallySimpleCaptcha plugin.

If you still have the fatal error:
    – then keep all plugins turned off and switch back to your default theme
    – Activate your ReallySimpleCaptcha plugin and it should work.

Thanks for the step-by-step. Unfortunately what worked for you didn’t work for me and actually “broke” my website. Thank god for back ups!

So I’m not really sure how to proceed from here. Not sure if it has something to do with my theme or user error!
