which version WordPress you used
WordPress 4.7.2
I suspect the PHP version because it works fine on the dev site with PHP 7. I’m trying to get the client to dig up their GoDaddy password so I can try updating the PHP version there.
ok, otherwise i’m going to fix it.
π Well it should be fixed anyway or fail “gracefully” per https://make.ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/2015/06/05/policy-on-php-versions/
I’ll let you know.
Hi – A client of mine running PHP 5.3.29 on her server is having the same issue of error
Fatal error: Using $this when not in object context in /home/twnsatl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wc-fields-factory/wcff.php on line 148
I reverted her back to plugin version 1.3.5 and the error is no longer displaying. She can’t upgrade PHP on her server due to old scripts still on some sites that won’t work with PHP 5.4 and higher. WordPress version is 4.7.2
We appreciate an update that will resolve this issue, so she can stay current with your plugin. thank you!
I’m also getting an error :
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in…. wcff.php on line 147
Wordpress 4.7.2
Hi, all Fatal error: Using $this when not in object context issue are fixed
Confirmed! Thanks very much.
Confirmed version 1.3.6 is also working on client’s site.
Thank you for fixing!
Today, I too had to revert a site’s plugin back to plugin version 1.3.5. Version 1.3.6 would not work for us.
