  • I’m seeing the same thing. The include file exists so I’m going to try and fix permissions on the server to see if that resolves.

I also received an email from WordPress saying there’s an error with this plugin. But my website seems fine and the plugin still works (I tested it and still get emails from comment replies). Can I just ignore it or is it safer to remove it?

I’m sorry, but I can not reproduce this error. The file exists and is part of the plugin for a long time – also see the source code at Github:

Do you have any kind of “optimization” plugin in use or any unusual hosting setup – maybe WordPress as SaaS solution instead of a regular setup?

I’m using the original ww.wp.xz.cn version with Hostinger Premium Web Hosting.

Strange, I’m also on Hostinger. I did run a permissions fix and haven’t had any errors since so perhaps this resolved the issue.

Since the plugin runs fine on thousands of websites and you both have issues with the same hoster – maybe you should contact the support of Hostinger and ask, if this is a known issue or if something has to be configured differently.

Anyway – this seems to be a problem with the hosting environment and not with the plugin, so I am closing this issue now.
