Favicon Disappeared!!

I have been working on a development site of an already existing website. Last night, I change the development site over to the true URL of the site and got it up and running. Everything works smoothly, except my favicon disappeared!!!

I went to my ftp file manager and noticed the file was empty so I uploaded it again and still it doesn’t show up. I attempted editing code in the header.php file – but again, if this wasn’t a problem before, why is it now?? I even downloaded a plugin to try to get the favicon to show up – and with the plugin, it does – but ONLY in my admin pages. Not on the regular site.

Please…any help would be appreciated. I am VERY frustrated because today is the full launch of this site and I don’t know what happened!!
