    As soon as your content leaves your WordPress installation, in emails or in a RSS feed for example, things like shortcodes won’t be supported anymore. The code in charge of transforming these shortcodes into a footnote won’t be loaded in your readers’ email client, so the shortcodes will be displayed as you inserted them into the post content.

    We’re working on stripping all shortcodes from subscription emails to fix this issue. I’ll post again here as soon as I have some news.
