    Hi Gabe,

I installed Asset CleanUp a few months ago and I am very pleased with the plugin.

But now looking back at all the .js and .css files I unloaded then, I can’t remember what was the logic behind every decision. It took me some time to remember that some css lines I merged with others or why some .js are not needed on certain pages. And certainly I will have to go through this process again next time I implement some updates.

I would recommend the possibility for the admin to introduce some small personal notes on each asset. I would find it very helpful for managing them.

Hope what I wrote above does make sense 🙂

    Thank you,
    Andrei

@andrei0luca that’s an interesting feature, I have to admit that, though you’re the only one who requested it and I will add it at the bottom of my to-do list as there are other features in demand that will be released. Just so I understand fully, would you like to enable a “textarea” field below the CSS/JS info on any page you wish, where you will write down the reason why you decided to unload the file?

    Hi Gabe,

Yes indeed, a textarea where the admin can write personal notes on each asset.

For example I’m loading 12 files from my Divi theme and 5 files from my child theme. Not even counting files from plugins, external and wordpress core. And now multiply them with my 8 pages website.

My point is that you will not remember the logic behind unloading a certain .js, .css after a couple of weeks, months.

A simple textarea note can go a long way in managing the assets.

    Thank you,
    Andrei

@andrei0luca I’ve added the “Notes” feature to the development version:

    1) Go to https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-asset-clean-up/advanced/
    2) Scroll to “Previous versions” and download the “Development” zip file

It will be added very soon to the tag. It just needs more testing, perhaps you can test it out 😉 The notes are per handle.
