    Hello,
I have been using AST for years and it’s been a really great plugin. However I’ve recently become aware of a use case that would require a small change it AST to make it better and more flexible.

I run a shop that does both shipments, deliveries and local pickups. The hangup we’re encountering is that order “completed” is used in place for shipped and it would seem much better if Completed meant Delivered. This change would enable our other processes to happen. Currently, because Completed = Shipped, we’re unable to properly close out and send follow-up connections to clients who bought locally as we would with out shipped orders.

Feature Request: to optionally choose Completed = Delivered as the end point for orders.

    Thank you,
    Jason

    Hi @jasonhouge,

Thanks for the kind words — great to hear you’ve been using AST for years!

Regarding your request: AST PRO already includes custom order statuses, including Shipped and Delivered, which allows you to separate these steps exactly as you described. ✅ How you can achieve your workflow

    • Use Shipped (from AST PRO) as the status when an order has been shipped.
    • Keep Completed for your local workflow and treat it as Delivered, or alternatively use the Delivered status included in AST PRO.
    • This way, you no longer need to use “Completed = Shipped,” and you can trigger different automations, follow-ups, and emails based on each status.

This setup gives full flexibility for shops that handle shipping, local delivery, and local pickups.

    Best regards,
