Thanks for the awesome feature request. Scheduling within a specific day is something that we’ve been thinking about in the calendar for a while. We’ll add it to the list of feature requests for the next big release.
Thanks,
Zack
Zack –
I want to take an old post and drag it to be re-published.
A client of mine has recurring events, so it would be nice to
1) Clone and drag to a new date
2) Just drag an old post to a new date
Benefits:
1. Save a ton of time having to duplicate a post manually
2.Old post has views and SEO value, so this would increase views by bringing it back up to the surface.
You may wonder why I would want this functionality. Being able to republish old posts – well as soon as the post publishes, it shoots it over to Facebook and Twitter simultaneously.
In this instance, the client posts a flyer for a recurring event that they have on Friday nites. I want to repost every Friday at 5pm so people get the announcement.
They also have a recurring event on Saturdays, so I would clone that post for republication every Saturday afternoon as well.
Having to tediously recreate the same post as a bunch of new drafts and scheduled posts would be a helluva lot easier if you’d allow old posts to be republished or cloned and then draggable to a new date.
Thanks for the extra details. We’ll need to think about the best way to make that work in future versions.

My client is like miamitom’s client too, so that feature would also be beneficial. I was thinking about my feature request further. Thought of an easier way to implement it, if you need an easier way. At the top of the unscheduled drafts section have a time dropdown like you get when you use “quick edit”. That time then would be the time for all of the drafts you schedule in. Optionally have the ability to set the posts as immediately scheduled when you do that as well.
