Just tested it (with 2.0.0 and 2.0.1)… with the update from 1.x I allways get the folling error on all URLs:
Error loading block: The response is not a valid JSON response.
Before with 1.x it was working.

Done 🙂 Hope it’s the right information I sent.
Thanks!

You sent it to [email protected] right?
We should receive those instantly but I don’t see anything in our support inbox yet.
Yes, I did! Just re-sent it.
Stupid question… Have you checked your spam folder? I didn’t received an error message, so for me it looks like it went through.
Please give me a short note if you have recieved it 🙂

No, not in spam either. It’s not a regular mailbox either but our Help Scout support.
Could you try using the support widget on the Settings > Visual Link Preview page instead? It should look like a question mark and allow you to attach things as well.
Sent it through the support widget

I got it through the widget and responded. Did you get that and reply to it as well?
If you did already reply: I have not received anything and you might want to check if your outgoing emails are actually working for the address you used.
We handle dozens of support tickets every single day with that email address so I’d be surprised if there was an issue on our end.

If anyone else ends up here: in this case the problem seems to have been caused by the “Deny Bad Query Strings” firewall setting in the All In One WP Security plugin.
Looks like there is another improvement needed…
I used the following URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2O5qKZlI50
The result is the image and the wording “YouTube”
Here you can check the OpenGraph Tags:
https://opengraphcheck.com/result.php?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3Dr2O5qKZlI50
As you see YouTube (what was give out) is the og:site_name and not the og:title which I think would be better. Often sites paste the same content in both tags, that’s why we do not see this issue often.
I think og:title would be more correct than og:site_name. What do you think Brecht?

You don’t need to worry about us losing track of feature requests. We have a system for that and I will update this post when I have more information.
This is a free plugin and we have a few other priorities right now, so unfortunately I haven’t been able to look into this particular request.
