I ran pngcrush on a directory, which updated many PNG files in there. I also generated some WebP image variants that I could serve to site visitors.

Then Wordfence informed me of 300+ changes as it’s supposed to do. I’m appreciative, but I would love a way to “select all” or tick multiple selections for “Ignore Until File Changes”. It’s a bit tedious needing to go through them one by one.

Thank you for your consideration and thank you for creating such a wonderful plugin.

Hi @tinkerjet, thank-you for your feedback and I’m glad you’re enjoying Wordfence.

I will certainly pass this on to our development and QA teams, but I can give you a slight explanation for why you’re seeing this behavior. It’s not generally good practice for a plugin to alter WordPress core or plugin files, so it’s usually a pretty good indicator of an issue if there are any differences from the ww.wp.xz.cn repositories. The reason we don’t allow bulk selection is so that serious issues aren’t glossed over or missed amongst other files.

However, in this case I believe pngcrush is used as an external command-line tool. You may be able to utilize Wordfence > All Options > Scan Options > Advanced Scan Options to your advantage with wildcards for png files specifically.

You can read more about this here: https://www.wordfence.com/help/scan/options/#exclude-files

    Many thanks,
    Peter.
