    Dear Tobias,

I would like to suggest a feature for a further version of TablePress:

If you are working with large imported tables it might me very comfortable to have a checkbox under the Table-Settings to hide empty rows (maybe colums), so you don’t have to choose them manually from the table.

    Thanks in advance
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

I see what you mean, but I don’t really think that this is something that is helpful for many users. There are really not many users who have empty rows in their tables and as it’s rather easy to delete (or just hide them) using the existing buttons, there’s just no necessity for this.
In contrast, a checkbox for this could potentially be confusing for new and inexperienced users and it would clutter the user interface — that already has very many checkboxes — even more.
As there’s also the possibility to remove empty rows/columns using the available filter hooks and some small custom programming, I think that it’s better to stick with the WordPress philosophy of “Decision, not options” here.
Sorry for not having better news.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

and I really appreciate that! 🙂 Without user suggestions, TablePress would not be where it is, so thanks for that!

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
