Hi, Martin! Great plugin you’ve created. It does pretty much everything I need (with some custom css styling I added to match it to my site design), but I would like to make a feature request. I use the longer date format F, d, Y on posts which works great. However, with the limited amount of space in the sidebar, I’m finding that some post dates are long enough that they end up wrapping to the next line on some screen sizes. What I would like is to be able to specify the shorter M, d, Y date format for the widget. Is that a feature that you could add in an update? I’ve come up empty trying to use css to change it and no one seems to have a solution online.

    Thanks for your consideration!

    Chuck

Try the spin-off plugin Ultimate Post List. There you can rebuild the widget with a few clicks and have over 100 date formats.

I tried it, but I keep getting the error message, “Invalid post type.” then the plugin deactivates itself.

When did that occur? Did you try to create a new list?

Just today after you pointed me to the plugin I installed it and tried. When it was activated, I tried to open the settings and I got an error message something to the effect that there were no compatible posts and it deactivated itself. After that I couldn’t activate it again.

I could not reconstruct that error. There will be no date format option in the widget. So I recommend to decrease the font size of the date to prevent line breaks.
