    Dear Bowo,

Many times i use AI for my code and i need to copy the debugs logs to paste it somewhere else. Is it possible to have a ‘Copy Log’ on the main screen, to be able to copy the full log with the most important info to the clipboard? Just a suggestion that i believe would complement the plugin.

    Thanks for your work

    Best Regards,
    P

@pedromag can you be more specific with what you mean by “copy the full log with the most important info”? Examples would be useful.

    Hi Bowo,

For example, I have a log of 240 entries but i can only see a maximum of 100 entries in the same window and if i want to copy everything, i need to copy the first page and then check the other pages.
When I say important info, I mean to be formatted in a way that is cleaner, for example without the timestamps or without the amount of occurrences.

But this is just a suggestion. Love your plugin btw 😉

    Thanks for the quick reply

@pedromag I see… then again, how would you use a nicely-fromatted 240 entries in your AI workflow? How does that differ from copying all 240 raw, unformatted entries?

It would save me from copy 100 entries at the time, because there is a maximum of 100 entries per page. And i wouldn’t need to scroll from the top to the bottom to copy it, for example.
I would just click a button and all the log would go to the clipboard.

I understand this is a ‘luxury’ of mine, and i believe i won’t be the only one that will appreciate this feature, but i understand that this may not be a priority for the development of the plugin.

    Thanks.

@pedromag Thanks for explaining further. I’m still curious as to how 240 lines of error entries is useful for your AI workflow… it seems to make more sense to copy a specific error entry to your AI app, and ask for an explanation and fix for it…. but all 240 entries?… still trying to understand your use case.

Hi Bowo, thanks for taking your time to discus this with me. The 240 entries was just an example. The issue here is if it makes sense for you to have a button to copy the full log to the clipboard or not.
And you are right when saying that the best workflow is to copy only what is important for the issue and not the all log, because of all other info that can come with. If you wish i can just delete the feature request post and i don’t wast your time with this, neither i waste mine 😉

    Thanks

I see. So, there is no use case for the copied 240, nicely-formatted entries? I’m just confirming the use case, because there is no point in implementing a feature if there is no use for it.

It seems that your use case is a copy button for each of the log entry?… in a nice format?… then again, if you’re using it in your AI workflow, how does this improve upon copying the raw entry? AI should be able to understand the raw entry just OK?
