It would be great to be able to deactivate single slides completely

    Hi @danieldhv

Thanks a lot for the feature suggestion, being able to deactivate individual slides would indeed be very useful. Right now GSlider (and the underlying Swiper.js library we use) does not provide a built-in option to turn single slides on or off, so this is not possible via a simple setting yet. That said, I really like your idea and I have added it to our feature list to investigate. If it turns out to be technically feasible without causing issues for performance or usability, I will work on adding a per-slide “enable/disable” option in a future update. Thanks again for sharing this feedback like yours helps us decide what to improve next.

Thanks a lot for your suggestion about deactivating single slides, it is a very useful idea. The good news is that starting from WordPress 6.9, there is now a native “Hide” option for any individual block in the editor, including each Flexi Content Item (your single slides).

So if you are using our Flexi Content slider and want to hide just one specific slide, you can do it directly from the editor like this:

    1. Make sure your site is running WordPress 6.9 or later.
    2. Open the page with your Flexi Content slider in the block editor.
    3. Open the List View panel (top-left icon).
    4. Find the Flexi Content Item (the slide you want to hide).
    5. Click the three-dot (…) menu next to that item.
    6. Click “Hide”.

That single slide will now be hidden on the frontend, but it will stay visible in the editor so you can easily bring it back later.

Right now, our base block only has options to control the full slider, not a separate on/off toggle for each slide inside the block. I do like the idea of adding a dedicated per-slide enable/disable setting inside the block itself, and I have added this to our feature list for a future update.

For now, the WordPress 6.9 Hide control should give you exactly what you need to hide individual slides inside Flexi Content. Thanks again for the feedback, it really helps us decide what to improve next.
