Feature Request: Export/Import Notes

    I REALLY like this plugin.
    Simple to setup. Easy to use.

    I’d like to be able to import a standard “to-do list” as a Dashboard note when I start a new WordPress site. So as we do items I can check them off and keep track of where the project is at.

    Any chance of adding this as a feature?
    I’m sure you’re busy. I’d be willing to kick in a few bucks to make it a priority.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the suggestion!

    You should already be able to export/import dashboard notes through the Tools > Export/Import pages (WordPress Importer plugin needed for import).

    BUT I don’t see anything there which looks like it would export dashboard notes.

    Oh, my bad!

    It should’ve been there, but I optimized the plugin a bit too much by making sure it only ever loads on the dashboard (so the export page isn’t aware of the custom post type).

    I’ll re-add the feature request to try and also make the notes appear on the export page accordingly. You could still go in the database and copy the note contents manually – not as ideal probably, but depending on your note size you have in mind it may be faster then other ways of creating it (for now).

    Any hints on when the feature request might be added?
    I’ve got a 120 point pro-forma “to-do-list” that I’d like to be able to export/import for my next project.

    Thats not yet determined.. I’m quite occupied currently so getting a low demand feature in isn’t high on my priority list. (sorry, not the answer you’re hoping for, I know, just trying to be realistic here / not sugar coat it)

    Copying it through the DB is what I’d recommend then for such list.
