FEATURE REQUEST: Front-End Security

I spend several days in trying to create my desired WPDA User Interface within WordPress and I do not like the desired results, be it Back-End or Front-End.

I therefore would like to suggest an integrated Front-End Login/Logout Solution:
- When the Page opens WPDA could only show something like this
- And when authorised something like this (maybe using a divider line before LOGOUT)
WPDA is already dealing with Users, Roles, Authentications and Authorizations and therefore creating a simple Login Section should be easy to add.

As each App runs isolated in his own page a Web-Site could actually serve many different Apps for different users.

With this features WPDA would become even more user friendly and could attract more clients who currently do not consider WordPress suitable for their software developments needs.

I downvote this. It’s what I call feature creep.

There are a lot of conditional content solutions in WordPress. Our team uses MemberPress and Members. WooCommerce has support too. A quick Google search identified several others.

I do suggest that you read my Feature Request again to understand that I am only talking about the option of using WPDA in a stand alone Front-End solution without any other plugin needed!

Member Press for one web-site costs 3 times then WPDA per year for unlimited web-sites!

PS Anyhow, this just a suggestion form a guy who has been developing since 1997 and its up to WPDA to accept the suggestion or not!

I read your feature request several times before responding.

My concern is the development of the WPDA product. The development team is small and I fear them getting stretched too thin with new features and can’t continue developing / maintaining the core product. Our multi-site WordPress site relies heavily on WPDA for many, many research index database tables.

There are many free plugins that do this functionality, we use https://en-ca.ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/members/ which I think can do what you want.

But, I’m just one voice.

Let me see if I understand this correctly:

You are downvoting this request simply because you are worried about:
- The WDPA Team?
- And your own Web-Site?
So, what about all those other paying WPDA Clients who might welcome and benefit this new feature?

Are they all FEATURE CREEPS too?

PS I have installed Members and it is only for the Back-End, but I have always been talking about the Front-End Security, turning WPDA into a independent software solution!

FYI I have 30+ years of experience in software development, enjoy WPDA and will be posting many upcoming FEATURE REQUESTS in the future to improve this UNIQUE PRODUCT and support both Company and Community!
