Feature Request: Global Categories

Hello, first of all I want to say thank you to the dev(s) for keeping this plugin alive.

I have a site that uses the BP Documents plugin as a multi-group file share for teachers.
We have about 16 groups groups set up, for various grades and specific workgroups.

I’m trying to get our teachers to add categories to their files when they add something new. I’m also trying to get owners of documents to go back and categorize their previous uploads.

What I’m finding is that everyone has a slightly different naming convention or style.

So here’s my request:
Is it possible to add in a future update the ability to set global categories?
These categories would be available across all groups, and possibly managed from the BP Documents admin.

Global categories would/could exist in addition to the current custom category input.
An option to turn off custom categories might also be useful in some instances, only allow categories set by the admin.

Question, where are a groups categories stored in the DB?
Would it be possible to copy those settings to other groups or is each category in a unique relationship to it’s own group?
