• Hi,

I love your plugin, it’s a massive time-saver like you wouldn’t imagine. I have a couple suggestions if it’s possible:

    – The plugin works fine with most URLs, but not all URLs end with just the extension, sometimes there are parameters in the url (i.e. for size: ?width=1920w) and sometimes there is no extension at all. if the security is a concern of yours you can just add a checkbox for users who know what they’re doing (or, you know, implement some kind of mime type check and add more security to the plugin).

    – Multi upload. sometimes there’s a gallery of 11 portraits and shit and it takes forever to go through all of them. If possible, the plugin would take all the urls and import the files using the same filename found on the original urls (or, if you like, keep the current setup of asking for filename, an just use that + number for those files).

Thank you for an awesome plugin 🙂

    Hi Redouane,

thanks for your review and sorry for the late response. I just released an update to the plugin, and hope this addresses some of your issues.

    (1) URLs that are not standard
    – Query strings, like (?width=1920w): they should work now.
    – No file extension in URL: this can happen, but unfortunately I don’t have an easy way to fix this problem. Will keep in mind for a future version

    (2) Multi-Upload
    – This is a nice idea, I’ll add it to the backlog.

Thanks again for using this plugin – I am glad it saves you time. If you get a chance, why not update to the new 0.7 version and try it out? 😉

Productivity Bonus in the new version: now you don’t need to enter a file extension for “save as” any more. The plugin will just use the extension of the remote image you are importing.

    Best

I was looking for the url upload and glad that you’ve done this plugin.

+1 on the Multi-upload feature request. I really hope you can get that going, maybe like read a csv from where you have the plugin folder.

Thanks for creating this plugin. You’re my hero. =)
