Is there any chance of a feature to allow a user to set the source of the IP address logged by the plugin? My host is behind a proxy and all requests are showing up with that IP address so I also get locked out.

    Hello @joeparadis2,

Thank you for reaching us and for the suggestion made.

I have discussed your feature request with our developers, however there are no plans to implement such option in the near future.

This stems from that fact that there’s no universal way to detect an IP behind proxy, as there are various ways of setting up the proxy in the first place.

If we were to include such feature in the plugin, we will need to look into various different types of set up, for multiple hosting companies, and there is still be no guarantee we will be able cover every possible configuration available.

The only way to get automatically locked out is if you have the Limit login attempts option within the plugin enabled. If this is the option you’re referring to – you may consider disabling it on your end.

If you’re still experiencing the issue you’re welcome to update the thread at any time. Please make sure to elaborate a bit more on your current set up and how you are getting locked out, as well as provide us with the site’s URL, so we can further assist you.

    Best Regards,
    Gergana Petrova
