Hi @tdrf,
Thanks for your message! The description field is HTML compatible, so you can use HTML if you want.
There is not an editor on the field because other people could easily destroy their layout with it.
To post a link you can use HTML like: ‘Link to Example’
I hope this Will help you. Will you please let me know?
Kind regards,

Hi @tdrf,
Yes, if you add ‘target=“_blank”’ between ‘<a’ and ‘href=‘ it should work.
So the full example is <a target="“_blank”" href="//example.com”">This opens in a new tab</a>
If you like the plugin and my support, would you please consider leaving a review or a donation?
Kind regards,
Jeroen Peters
WoW, cool! If you have Paypal, on https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/name-directory/ is a “Donate to this plugin” button on the bottom-right.

It is possible to enable html in name title, not only description?
I did consider that once, but then it would be possible to break the plugin. This could be the case when you start with HTML, then it would not know how to sort the name. Also the layout could break. So it was my choice to not enable those.

Thank you! You may consider this topic resolved.
Thans! Glad to be of service and that you use the plugin!
Is there a specific reason that you didn’t enable an editor for the description field? I love that we can enter html into that field but I would like the field to have an editor. Is this possible?
Hi @deniseharker ,
The reason i didnt do this is that wysiwyg editor tend to insert much more HTML than needed, which can mess up the whole layout of the directory.
For another topic I have done Some research for this but I wasnt satisfied with the editors i found.
Kind regards,
