Hi @lostinbits,
In the latest version (0.9.17), Marker Icons can either be Font Icons, Text or HTML. You can specify this in Waymark Settings > Marker Types > Icon Type.
I hope this helps.

Hi Joe,
Indeed that is already a very helpful function. Thought i was thinking about a possibility to do this in the map editor when adding an image or a marker. This to avoid i have to make 15 different markers in the marker types settings. Perhaps this can be done with some checkbox that say ‘add title in text icon’?
Thanks,
Lost

Hi @lostinbits,
I see now. A way to add Types “on-the-fly” has been suggested before and is on my list, as I can see that this is an area for improvement.
Perhaps this can be done with some checkbox that say ‘add title in text icon’?
Could you expand on this a little? As I don’t quite follow.
Cheers,
Joe

I tried to say that in the map editor, when you add a marker, there could be a checkbox, which checked, the title of the marker is placed as text in the marker. So it will override the text given in the in marker editor by the title of the specific marker.
*(or even better is a specific textbox to add the marker text so there is still the possibility to use the title as it is)
and/0r in the marker editor a ‘text’ markers is added with the possible options that is given there and then in the map editor when adding a marker there could be the option as descried above. But this option only comes when a ‘text’ marker is selected.
but maybe i think in a to complex structure to gain the function.
Thank and all my best,
Lost

Hi @lostinbits,
Thanks for your thoughts and extra detail. I understand what you are describing and I like where you are going with this. As you mentioned though, things quite quickly get complicated!
I do intend on improving the Types feature and making it easier to create/change within the Editor, so this is very useful input to have.
Cheers,
Joe
