FEATURE REQUEST: Record GPS track

I think it would be useful to have a wpMobile widget that records GPS tracks using the phone’s GPS. I’d like to build a WordPress map page with an OpenStreetMap plugin and have the app display and record the user’s location on the map (with start and stop recording function).
There’s various WordPress plugins that can record GPS tracks on the SERVER such as Trackserver, however they require input of GPS tracks from mobile devices in a certain protocol. It would be good to support one of these supported protocols so wpMobile can work with this or other plugins.
