For an agency it is important to have a history of changes in the event anything is questioned or disputed. To have a log of any changes made to the site under Maintenance Notes in the reports would be so valuable to have the plugin save a copy of every report sent out to clients for the record. Having a simple setting to only keep reports for up to X Months would be nice too.

SIDE NOTE: If you continued development more frequently, I am one customer that would be willing to pay more annually if there was more development activity on the plugin. You have a money maker here, but having it show “not tested with your version” in the plugin marketplace is going to kill sales for you. IMO. 🙂

Thanks for taking the time to share this. We really appreciate the detailed feedback.

Just to clarify, WP Client Reports already generates reports based on a defined reporting period, so each report effectively serves as a snapshot of activity for that timeframe. Maintenance Notes are also available as part of the Pro version and can be included in reports.

If you have questions or need support related to Pro features like Maintenance Notes, please reach out through our official support channel so we can assist you directly.

From your suggestion, it sounds like you may be looking for more of a running history or audit log of all changes over time. That’s a bit outside the core scope of WP Client Reports as a reporting tool, and starts to move toward being an activity tracker. That said, we do see the value in that for agencies, and an integration with a dedicated logging or activity tracking solution may be a more appropriate approach.

Regarding plugin updates and the “not tested with your version” notice… that’s fair feedback. We’re currently in the testing phase for a v2.0 release, which is a complete refactor of both the free and pro plugins. Because of the scope of that rewrite, updates have been less frequent, but the goal is to move to a regular release cycle once 2.0 is finalized.

Thanks again for the the feedbac!

Yea, I am aware of the features, we have been a pro subscriber for years. For the feature request, I was simply asking that when an email is sent, it just keeps a copy of the email sent, so that you can reference it later. So not an activity logger, just an email copy keeper 🙂

I hope that gives some clarity. Looking forward to v2!!!
