• Hello John,

would it be possible to let the table stack by rows?

    Title 1, Title 2, Title 3
    Row A1, Row A2, Row A3
    Row B1, Row B2, Row B3
    Row C1, Row C2, Row C3

    would stack to…

    Title 1
    Row A1
    Row B1
    Row C1
    __
    Title 2
    Row A2
    Row B2
    Row C3
    __
    Title 3
    Row A3
    Row B3
    Row C3

    Many thanks for considering!

I would also like to participate by translating it to German.
I already work on several plugin translations as a validator.
If you are interested please let me know 🙂

    Cheers
    Joerg

That’s a neat idea 😛 It can be done, I’m not going to say no but it will probably take some time developing it properly because there has to be a lot of moving cell around. I will take a look at it though as I think it would be a good addition to the plugin.

As for German translations, that would be awesome! Thank you for offering. Someone else already mentioned German translations but I think they may be busy on other things and I don’t want to bug them about it 😛 If you send me the translations I’d be happy to have you as a contributor to the plugin.

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll let you know an ETA for this feature, I just want to try it out and see how it would work out. Let me know if you have any questions at all, i’d be happy to help.

In regards to translations I’d like to use the https://translate.ww.wp.xz.cn/locale/de/default/wp-plugins/jtrt-responsive-tables
site, however I use the PoEdit’or for translations so not being a validator keeps me from uploading my PO file again, either you will allow me to be a validator or let me know where to send my translation files to? Many thanks!

Ok, even I’m not a validator I was able to upload my work and now it’s having the status waiting 🙂

I will follow up and may need to fix some wording as soon as it is available…

    Hey Joerg,

That’s awesome, I’d love to have you as a contributor/validator. I visited that website and I’m confused as to what to do 😛 How do I approve you work?

Also thanks for pointing that website out for me, someone else had mentioned it earlier but I didn’t know what they were talking about. 😀 This helps big time

    Hello John,

Ok I did a bit of a research and it looks like that WP has (again) changed a few things in the process that is why I’m able to upload a PO file although I’m not vaildator. The validator is now named Project Translation Editors (PTE), who can approve strings. I have taken this from here: https://make.ww.wp.xz.cn/meta/handbook/documentation/translations/

Under the roles section I found this:

Project Translation Editor #Project Translation Editor
A Project Translation Editor is a person, who has access to validate strings on a specific project (for example BuddyPress, WooCommerce or Twenty Fourteen) for one specific locale. A Project Translation Editor can approve strings that are added by translation contributors. Project translation editors are appointed by a General Translation Editor after a request by the project author or by the contributors themselves.

So you as the author have to follow this:
    https://make.ww.wp.xz.cn/polyglots/handbook/rosetta/theme-plugin-directories/#requesting-new-translation-editors

You can request to let me become your PTE in German and then I can approve the strings and you do not need to bother yourself with the German tongue 🙂

    Awesome!

Thanks for all the help 😀 I have made a post on the page, I hope it is sufficient.

    Hello Polyglots, I am the…

Let me know if there is anything else I need to do to have you as a PTE, also how would you like the credits for translations displayed? I like to give credit for the work you’ve done so if you want to display your name or the wordpress name let me know 😛

    Thanks

    Hey Joerg,

I’ve been busy with work this weekend so I didn’t get a chance to reply to any issues. I’m assuming you saw the email that the polyglot team sent? Do I need to do anything else for your work to show up?

    Thanks

    Hey John,

I’m your PTE for the German language and able to approve translations, so everything is fine. I already updated the formal and informal language. I still need to check the correctness of the WordPress term and translate the release notes.

But I think the plugin itself was more important.

Looking forward to get the new version soon 😉

I can test it if you like and we can exchange our email address for this.

    Cheers

    Hey Joerg,

That’s good to hear! I’m still working on crushing pesky bugs, I wouldn’t mind a beta tester 🙂 I can send you a copy of the update before releasing so you can test to see if the problems are solved, this would save me some time from having to create hotfixes 😛 My email address is visible on GitHub, https://github.com/JohnTendik

Thanks again for all the support <3

    Hey Joerg,

I’m fine 🙂 Its just I have been really busy with school and work, I don’t really have time to work on this table plugin. I’m responding to issues but that’s basically all I can do at the moment. My first goal would be to make a short video tutorial, I feel like I’ve left people hanging with this updated UI but no explanation on how to use it :/ Then I want to release a bug fix + update to 4.7.2. I have so many feature that I want to include for this plugin, but its taking a lot longer than I would like 🙁

If there is a feature that you want immediately, I can try to get it working and send you custom version but I don’t want to rush a feature and then release something full of bugs ( it creates more work later on lol )

Thanks for all the support and feedback you’ve provided, I haven’t forgotten about this plugin, I’ve just been really busy.
