Feature Request: User Interface when Creating/Editing User?
-
Hi there! This is just a feature request, maybe two π
For context, I’m using your plugin in combination with the Ultimate Member plugin (surprising how it doesn’t have the ability to add multiple roles to a single user consider it markets itself as the #1 user profile and membership plugin…).
When creating a new user on the
/wp-admin/user-new.phppage, I would love it if this plugin “took over” WordPress’s default “Role” select field and converted it into checkboxes, or even a multi-select field, so that I could assign multiple roles right away. Or even below it as a separate field. I’m not picky. I’d just like to be able to do this from this screen. Ultimate Member adds their own select field labeled “Ultimate Member Role” to the bottom of this screen (except if I change their WordPress role to any of the roles created with Ultimate Member, their plugin’s select field is hidden, preventing me from giving them multiple roles created by their plugin, arrrggg).Secondly, when I’m editing a user at
/wp-admin/user-edit.php?user_id=1, I’d love to see your checkboxes there too. When I first installed/activated your plugin, that was the first place I expected to see your multi-roles UI. Admittedly, I was excited and went straight to update my first user without reading any documentation. I was confused at first, then I went to the plugins page, clicked on your “Settings” link, and finally found where it had the instructions for each independent “Roles” link/page in the Users list page. It struck me as odd, but it gets the job done none-the-less!Anyway, these are just nice-to-haves. Your plugin is doing exactly what I need! It’s just setup could be a bit more streamlined π
Cheers!
