    Hi

    I have a feature request:
It would be nice if you can generate, view or email some reports that summarizes all visitors for all pages and posts.

Especially if you could support email reports automatically sent every day/week/month.

    An example:
    Date: 2019-11-08
    “Page 1” – 1846 total views, 2 views today
    “Page 2” – 1464 total views, 12 views today

    Regards
    Henrik

    Hello Henrik,

Thank you for the feature suggestion. We have never added any reporting to Page Views Count as we believe that type of admin reporting is accessible from site integration of Google Analytics tracking code. That reporting is often provided on the admin dashboard via plugins that integrate Google – there are many of them and so I won’t single any one out here.

The beauty of Page View Count is that it is very simple to set up and is designed to show front end users the number of visitors ‘all time and today’ to a post or page. We created the plugin for our own use as it:

    1. Shows website visitors ‘social proof’ of how popular the post or page is with visitors.
    2. Shows the website owner very quickly (by viewing it on the frontend) how many people have viewed the page ‘visual proof’.

Again we are of the opinion that if the website owner / admin wants more in depth reporting of traffic to pages or posts they will be using Google Analytics tracking code to measure and report on that.

BUT I am always happy to hear suggestions of features we could add that would make any of our plugins more useful to our users. If you think that I am missing something here in my thinking about adding reporting and notifications please let me know.

    Steve
