Can a customer register EU VAT number in the account zone and have it VIES validated?

This is already a feature. If you have VIES validation enabled you can’t save a VAT number in the My Account zone if it’s not valid according to VIES.
Hey! I’d like to be able to reposition the field on the checkout page.
Currently when using Block Checkout it’s placed as the second field after email but I’d rather like to place it in the Billing section under the Company name field.
Hi, I totally agree with you here. Unfortunately I’m bound by the Woocommerce API here. The different sections are treated differently and trigger different actions. I have to register the VAT field as additional field and Woocommerce puts it after the email field.
