    Featured images in single pages not displaying in Basic theme.
    You can add next snippet to your own child theme or our plugin FunctionsPHP:

    
function customslug_basic_before_single_content(){

	if ( has_post_thumbnail() ) {		
		the_post_thumbnail( 'medium', 'class=alignright' );
	}

}
add_action( 'basic_before_single_content', 'customslug_basic_before_single_content' );
