Hi, I am new to WordPress and I chose Coblog theme.
I had my site hosted by somebody else and I used to use a square image as the featured image for each of my blog entry.
When I moved my contents to WordPress with Coblog, I am sure my square featured images were being displayed as squares but I have noticed this morning that my featured image is now shown as a rectangle thus half of that is missing. Even when I click the image, it stays as a rectangle.
Could you please tell me how I can show the image in a square box?
Thank you for your help in advance!
Hello @ejem,
Maybe you want to create a blog. Here using blocks you can set your image size whatever you want. If you need to grid your block then you can use this directory free plugins. https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/ultimate-post/
Hi, thank you for your response but I am not talking about compiling blog posts in a page. I am talking about an individual blog post page. It needs to be able to accommodate a “square image” in the post itself so that the image goes with the story.
If your theme doesn’t do that, I need to change the theme, so let me know if it’s possible and if yes, please tell me how.
Hi,
Thank you for using our coblog theme. You know, we used rectangle shape for blog listing.
I guess you have uploaded square size images. Only for this reason it crops square images and make it rectangle shape.
If you will share website URL then I can understand your issue clearly.
Thank you for your response.
My site is EasyJapaneseE.com
I post one blog a day Mon to Sat and compiling them into pages depending on the topic.
Since I post the last responses to you, I have discovered that if I choose the page attribute to be Gutenburg Post Block Template and if I include the image in the post as a block as well as adding the same image as the featured image for the post, it does get displayed as a square in the single page format as well as the image appears in the page with compilation of post under a theme. But when I moved my site to Word Press, all the photos were moved as Feathered Image, so I am now dreading that I have to embed each separately. Isn’t it possible for each featured image to be shown as it is in a single page format?
