    Hi guys,

The reason why I would like to ask for your help is that the featured images dont appear in the posts anymore. I am using the free Elementor and the Oceanwp theme. Let me explain how I got to this problem. I decided to remove the old header and create a new one with the Header Footer & Blocks template. Until the old header was active, the featured images appeared perfectly. As soon as I have finished with the new header and saved it as a template, the featured image of each post has disappeared and only the new header is now visible. The featured images are selected under Set Featured Image in the Dashboard, still they dont appear in the posts. Hope it makes sense what I am trying to explain.
Can you please explain what I am doing wrong and what the solution can be? Many thanks

  • Hello,

Can you please try to switch a WP default theme and re-try?
Also, it will be highly appreciated if you could share a screencast that could show us the steps you took clearly.

    Regards,

    Hi Said,

Thanks for the tips. I tried TwentySeventeen theme but it doesnt work. Although I am beginner. Pls see the link http://kalandnapl.local/hogyan-sporoljunk-a-szallason/?preview_id=13839&preview_nonce=387a6e154e&preview=true

I am unable to reproduce exactly what I have done so far but I try to explain. I had an old header (with the menu, search, facebook logo, subscribing bell) , which was not ready and therefore I wanted to work on it. However for some reason I could not access to the header, I was no longer allowed to edit it. Under the header there was a header image like in the screenshot below. That header image appeared automatically as soon as I selected a Featured Image within the OceanWP settings in the Dashboard.

    Header image.PNG
    header.PNG

Because I didnt have access to the old header, I decided to create a new one with the Header, Footer & Block. I didnt remove anything, the only thing I did was the new header that I saved in the templates. As soon as I created the new header, the header image disappeared. So my goal is to display the Featured image automatically as a header image because now I can do it manually. I want to achieve the same as in the above photo, which I am unable because the featured image doesnt appear automatically.

I dont know if this is the right way or not but in the meantime I went to customisation > blog> single post and as you can see below I put the Featured Image element in the top of the other elements. This resulted of showing the featured image (house) as header image but it is not in full screen mode. I want that house image to appear automatically in the same format as the skyscraper image. (the skyscraper image has been selected manually for the purpose of this explanation, it is not the featured image)

    single post_LI.jpg

Hope it makes sense what I am trying to achieve and it would be awesome if you could help me out

    Thanks very much
